GoEuro, a travel service that compares ticket prices, set out to find the world's most expensive beer. It surveyed 75 major cities, checking out prices for five common imports, plus one local brew.
Geneva came out on top, so visitors beware! Here's how the prices break down:
- Beer at a bar: $10.77
- Beer from the supermarket: $1.87
- Average: $6.32
The 2015 GoEuro beer price index is based on average cost of 33cl bottled beers found in discount stores, and 33cl draught beers found in major hotel chains in 75 cities worldwide.
